Movement, Sound, and Visual Drama, Built Into Your Pool
There is nothing quite like the sight and sound of moving water to transform a pool from a simple place to swim into a true backyard centerpiece. At A&E Pools, LLC, we design and install custom pool water features throughout Fort Myers and Southwest Florida, from dramatic waterfalls and elegant sheer descents to playful bubblers and cascading fountain jets. Whatever atmosphere you are creating, we build the water features that make it come alive.
A well-designed water feature does not just look stunning; it changes the entire experience of your backyard. The gentle sound of cascading water creates calm and privacy. A dramatic waterfall or sheer descent becomes the focal point your outdoor space has been missing. We have designed and installed custom water features across Southwest Florida since 2017, with more than 10 years of hands-on experience behind every project, and our family-owned team treats your pool like our own, because that is the standard we hold ourselves to.
As a licensed (CPC1459515) and insured contractor and proud FSPA member, we design every feature to integrate seamlessly with your pool’s structure, plumbing, and Pentair automation, so your water feature is as easy to control as the rest of your pool. We serve homeowners across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties; the full list is on our service areas page.
Every backyard is different, and so is every water feature we build. Waterfalls are among the most popular choices: built from natural stone, stacked rock, or grotto-style formations, they create a dramatic focal point and the relaxing sound of flowing water. Sheer descents offer a sleek, modern alternative, sending a thin, glassy sheet of water from a raised wall into the pool below. For something more subtle, bubblers and fountain jets rise directly from the pool floor or tanning ledge, a fun, interactive element that families especially love.
Whatever style you are drawn to, it can be custom-configured to match your pool’s finish, tile work, and design language. We tie your water features into your pool automation system so you can turn them on and off, adjust flow rates, and synchronize them with your LED lighting, all from a smartphone app. Visit our Fort Myers showroom to explore styles and combinations before your project begins.
Water features are even more powerful when paired with the right complements. Combine yours with glowing Fire Features for a dramatic fire-and-water effect, or add a sun-soaked Tanning Ledge that gives your bubblers a functional home doubling as a lounge area.

A wide range of custom options: natural rock and grotto-style waterfalls, sheer descent water walls, deck-mounted or raised-wall bubblers, fountain jets, and laminar jets. Each is custom-designed and engineered to complement your specific pool layout, finish, and aesthetic, across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties.
In most cases, yes. Sheer descents, deck jets, fountain jets, and certain bubbler configurations retrofit well to existing pools, depending on your plumbing layout, equipment pad, and structure. Natural rock waterfalls and grotto features are generally easier and more cost-effective during new construction. We assess your pool in a free consultation and give you honest guidance on what is possible and what makes sense for your budget.
Every feature we install integrates with Pentair’s smart automation, so you control your water features, pump, lighting, and spa directly from a smartphone or tablet app: set schedules, adjust flow rates, sync with your LED lighting, and turn everything on before you step outside. It is one of the most popular aspects of our builds.
Modern features paired with Pentair variable-speed pumps are far more efficient than older single-speed systems. Variable speeds let features run at lower, more efficient rates while keeping the visual and acoustic effect, and automation schedules mean they only run when you want. We will walk you through the most efficient configuration during your free consultation.
It depends on the feature and the aesthetic you want. For rock and grotto waterfalls we source stone that complements your hardscape and landscape; for sheer descents and water walls we match your tile, coping, and finish. All interior finishes we use, including Florida Stucco, StoneScapes, and NPT, are chosen for durability and beauty in Florida’s year-round outdoor environment. See samples in person at our showroom.
Absolutely, and it is one of the most dramatic combinations we build. Pairing water features with Fire Features such as fire bowls or columns flanking your waterfall or sheer descent creates an unforgettable effect, especially after dark with the LED lighting on. Ask about combined fire-and-water designs during your free consultation.
Whether you are dreaming of a natural rock waterfall, sleek sheer descents, or playful bubblers on your tanning ledge, A&E Pools has the design expertise and construction experience to build it beautifully.
