The Gold Standard in Pool Construction, Built to Last in Florida's Climate
Gunite is the most popular pool construction method in Florida, and for good reason. Unlike prefabricated options, a gunite pool is built entirely on site by spraying a concrete-aggregate mixture over a steel-reinforced framework. The result is a structurally superior pool that can be shaped into virtually any size, depth, or design you can imagine. We have been building custom gunite pools across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties since 2017.
We are a family-owned, licensed, and insured pool contractor and a proud FSPA member. We use Pentair equipment on every build, offer premium Florida Stucco, StoneScapes, and NPT interior finishes that hold up in year-round sun, and provide flexible pool financing options through Lyon Financial, HFS, and Viking. Our process starts before a single tool touches your yard. We begin with a design consultation at our showroom, then develop a detailed 3D Pool Design so you see exactly what your finished pool will look like before construction begins. No guesswork, no surprises. Once you approve, we handle all permitting with Lee County, Collier County, or whichever jurisdiction applies.
Construction starts with excavation and a precisely engineered steel rebar framework. Our crew applies the gunite mixture under high pressure to form the permanent shell, then moves into plumbing, electrical, and Pentair equipment installation. Interior finishing is your final design decision: Florida Stucco, StoneScapes, or NPT. We finish with tile, coping, decking, and a full system startup. Curious about each stage in detail? Our 8-step construction guide walks through the whole build. For elevated design, we also offer Infinity Edge Pools as part of our custom gunite builds.
Our crews are active across Lee County (Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Estero, Bonita Springs, Bonita Beach, Sanibel Island), Collier County (Naples), Charlotte County (Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Babcock Ranch), and Sarasota County (North Port). Wherever you are in the region, you get the same design quality, construction precision, and customer care.
Not sure what size or style fits your lot? Whether you are considering a standard custom pool, a fitness-focused Lap Pool, or a space-efficient Plunge Pool, we will help you find the right fit during your free consultation.
Gunite pools offer superior strength, complete design flexibility, and exceptional longevity, all qualities that matter in Florida’s climate. Unlike prefabricated shells, a gunite pool is built entirely on site and can be shaped to any dimension, contour, or depth. The concrete construction handles Florida’s soil movement and heat exceptionally well, and with the right finish it will look great and perform reliably for decades. It is no coincidence that gunite is the most widely chosen pool type across Southwest Florida.
Most custom gunite pools in the Fort Myers area start around $50,000 to $70,000, with luxury designs and added features going beyond $100,000. Size, finish, features, and site conditions all move the number. For a full breakdown, see our pool construction pricing guide, then get an exact quote for your yard in a free consultation.
From permit approval to completion, most projects take between 10 and 16 weeks, depending on design complexity, site conditions, and county processing timelines. We manage the entire process, including all permitting, and provide a clear project timeline at the start.
Yes. We work with Lyon Financial, HFS, and Viking, and our team will walk you through the options during your initial consultation so you can choose a plan that fits your budget and timeline.
Three premium finishes: Florida Stucco (classic and cost-effective), StoneScapes (natural aggregate with enhanced texture and color depth), and NPT (a high-performance plaster blend). All three suit Florida’s climate and come in a range of colors you can compare at our showroom.
Absolutely. All new pool construction in Florida requires a building permit, and requirements differ across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties. Our Pool Permits & Planning team manages everything from engineering plans to final approval. You will not need to visit a single county office.
Yes. Gunite’s structural flexibility makes it ideal for specialty designs: infinity edge pools with a vanishing-horizon effect, lap pools built for fitness, and plunge pools for compact spaces. We will work through the details during your consultation and 3D design session.
